About the Journal

The Journal of Business Theology is a broad-based, editorial review forum, published by Open Christian University, serving as a platform for discussing faith-learning-life links in business. It aims to publish and disseminate manuscripts whose body of knowledge bridges the gap between church and marketplace, in fact between theological theories and business practices.

Aims and Scope

The Journal publishes manuscripts on a rolling basis. Only English language is accepted for publications. Accepted manuscripts may be original research articles, Case studies, review articles, exegetical materials, reflective essays or critical analysis report that cover either the field of Business or Theology. More encouraged are manuscripts that cover the fundamental and applied research in the areas related to Business ethics and Theology; drown from the efforts of academic professionals as well as experience-based manuscripts that reflects the personal insights of business leaders, Christian thinkers and comment. 

Peer-review Process

Each proposal or paper is reviewed by OJBT’s editor and, if it is judged suitable for publication, is then further evaluated by the managing editor. Based on the editors’ recommendations, the chief editor will then decide whether the paper should be accepted as is, revised or rejected. The average review process, from the time the completed draft is first submitted for consideration to the notification of OJBT’s decision on rejecting or requesting further revision to the draft, is currently about two months. The journal screens the manuscripts for plagiarism using google scholar check.
